Introduced around 1859 this pouch was used until the mid to late 1890s by the British and commonwealth nations. This was imported by the Americans during the American Civil War in the 1860s. This was designed to hold 10 Rounds, a small rag (at the bottom), and an oiler bottle. This you would expended the rounds from as well as worn on the front right hip.
Made of Dyed Vegetable tanned leather with brass studs. Made with Waxed Linen Thread.
